VILLA GRANDA
Villa Granda is a range of sparkling and still wines produced using grapes from the Vi.V.O. Agricola vineyards. Intended for everyday convivial consumption, the line is characterized by its 'easy-drinking' nature.
Vi.V.O. Agricola is one of the most compelling wine producers in the Eastern Veneto landscape. In August 2016, the brand joined the 'CANTINE VITICOLTORI VENETO ORIENTALE' Group. This premier cooperative is firmly established across the Treviso and Venice provinces, drawing on the expertise of over 2,000 members who manage a combined 6,300 hectares of vineyards. The Group's annual production stands at approximately 90,000,000 kg of grapes, delivered to its 8 winemaking facilities. Through continuous investment in its production facilities over the years, the Group has achieved a perfect balance between heritage and cutting-edge innovation.
Vi.V.O. Agricola’s objective is to consolidate its position within the domestic market while expanding into key international markets, sharing the ancient winemaking traditions of the Treviso and Venice provinces with the world.
In keeping with its mission of 'tradition and innovation,' the Company drew inspiration for the line’s name from the historic Venetian Villas. These unique noble residences were established by the aristocracy of the Republic of Venice and flourished across the agricultural 'Domini di Terraferma' (Mainland Territories) between the late 15th and 19th centuries. During this period, more than five thousand villas were built throughout the Veneto region. Many of these villas are still preserved and protected by the Istituto Regionale Ville Venete (Regional Institute for Venetian Villas) as a historical heritage and a global symbol of this region. he Palladian villas—named after the architect Andrea Palladio—have been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Through its selection of still and sparkling wines, the Villa Granda line serves as a true ambassador for the Veneto region on the world stage.
